Chapter 2

"Jon you are required in the Chamber."

With a simple nod i started walking in the direction pointed to me. I have been near to the Chamber once but i had to bring coffee to the door. I am not ashamed of saying it, not many people get a chance to be even near it. I stood there admiring the door as behind it were the people who made the world different every second.

But this was different. I knew it. How? The man who pointed the direction was responsible for calling the required people to the Chamber and i had been called.

The Chamber was like a sacred ground for the people here. Only the priests were to enter and perform the ceremony that would keep the humanity alive. So i was the new chosen priest. Or was i? Anyway i had been walking for nearly 10 minutes to no avail. I was sure i was lost and then i saw the gates. There, above the gate, Chamber, had been etched into the wall. I was filled with anticipation and nervousness. The doors were of the old style. Not automatic but had to be pushed. Ironic, all our leaders speaking of the Future and yet we keep this semblance of the past and beyond them was the core of every minute details laid in the world.

Something came over me and with confident strides i walked up to the doors and pushed them open. I have been a skeptic always, questioning everything around me even the peace. The confidence was a mere facade to keep my curiosity checked. The Chamber was infront of my eyes and i was swallowing every bit of it. It was then my mind started working and i saw the key.

All now i had to do was find the lock.The right lock.
